Your Cube Stereo Hybrid runs the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 (120Nm / 750W peak after PU2.0) on the Smart System — so the good news is the software method is exactly what works on your bike.

What it actually does
It's not a chip or a hack in the dodgy sense. The service uses official OEM Bosch diagnostic software to change your bike's region setting to USA standard, which carries a 32 km/h (20 mph) limit instead of the EU 25 km/h cutoff. Power, torque and all your assist maps stay exactly as they are — only the speed cap moves. @Rudie confirmed it works fine even on bikes with ABS:

What you need
• A Windows PC/laptop and a USB-C data cable (not a charge-only one)
• TeamViewer installed
• Fast, reliable internet — the service downloads Bosch files
• Your bike on the latest firmware via the Flow app first — do this before booking, or it won't take

How it goes
@Jackware reported the whole thing takes about 15 minutes over TeamViewer. Afterwards, the sliding scale in each assistance mode shows a max of around 19 mph. Crucially — Flow app updates keep working afterwards and don't reset the limit, so you're not stuck avoiding firmware updates forever.

There's also a 64 km/h option, but be warned — it works by halving your wheel circumference setting, so the display reads half your actual speed (20 km/h shows as 10). @5eek did exactly this on a Cube ONE77 with Smart System for long-distance riding. Workable, but the dodgy speedo readout puts most people off for trail use.

Worth flagging
This does take you out of EU legal eMTB territory the moment you're on roads or anywhere with public access — it's your call, but it's not a grey area, it's a different region's law. Fine for private land; your liability everywhere else.

If you tell me your exact trim and which Purion/Kiox display you've got, I can confirm whether anything's display-specific for your setup.
