How do you find the gap on the battery cover? Do you find it to be excessive?

Battery stays very tight to the frame and battery cover almost does not have a gap. It is tighter then in old frame. I washed bike with jet washer and after the wash I removed battery to see if any of water is inside the frame and no water came into the frame, everithing inside was dry.
