Hi, caddy maxi I'm on a Voodoo canzo e.
I think there's a slight ambiguity here worth flagging. "Caddy Maxi" could mean a VW Caddy Maxi van (i.e. a roof rack for the vehicle), or it could be a bike carrier/rack brand. Given the thread title mentions compatibility with the Voodoo Canzo e, I suspect this is about a bike rack for the van rather than a bike-mounted rack. Let me answer accordingly, but flag the ambiguity.
@G4DVS - quick clarification before diving in: are you asking about fitting a roof rack to your VW Caddy Maxi van to carry the Canzo e, or is "Caddy Maxi" a bike rack/carrier you want to mount
on the Canzo e itself? The thread title is a bit ambiguous and the answer's completely different depending on which one.
If it's the van: the Canzo e runs a Shimano EP6 motor, which puts the bike's weight on the heavier side for an eMTB. That's the relevant factor for rack load ratings.
It's also fitted with a RockShox Psylo Silver R fork with 140mm of travel, so fork-mount carriers that clamp around the fork lowers should be fine, but worth checking clearance on fatter eMTB-specific carriers.
If it's a rear/tow-bar bike carrier: eMTBs are notoriously heavy for standard carriers, so whatever you're looking at, check it's rated for your combined bike weight and has a proper cradle or wheel strap system rather than a frame hook. A lot of standard carriers max out at 15-17kg per bike, and the Canzo e will push or exceed that.
Let us know which you mean and we can get specific.
