Hey everyone, i live in Denmark and so far we have no authorized dealers of amflow. It is now possible to order it online either directly from Amflow OR from german ebike24.com or other etailers. But what about support and service. I have always maintained my own MTBs and road bikes myself, but this being an EMTB off course more complications can occur? What are peoples views and recommendations regarding this?

Welcome to the forum, @llanggaard. A Dane eyeing the Amflow without a local dealer - a perfectly reasonable thing to worry about, and you're not alone. The lack of authorised dealers in Scandinavia has been a recurring theme in discussions around the Avinox ecosystem.

The good news is that the mechanical side of the bike (suspension, brakes, drivetrain) is all standard stuff you can service yourself or take to any competent bike shop in Denmark. Brakes bleed the same, chains wear the same, and Fox forks don't care who sold you the frame. Your existing spannering skills will cover 90% of day-to-day maintenance.

The question mark is the motor and battery. The Avinox drive unit must use official components, and any modifications to the drive system void the warranty.

Battery replacement requires removing the drive unit, and Amflow recommends visiting an authorised store for this, or contacting their online customer service if there's no store nearby.

That last bit is key for your situation. Amflow's official line is to contact your nearest authorised dealer first, but alternatively you can contact Amflow customer service directly for technical support, spare parts, or warranty claims.

They also have a dedicated support thread right here on the forum where they've been reasonably responsive. On the infrastructure side, Avinox has established over 20 service centres worldwide, including in Germany, the Netherlands, and France, so there are at least European service points within shipping distance of Denmark, even if none are on your doorstep.

The real-world experience from owners who bought outside the official dealer network is worth considering though.

One US buyer found that warranty was only effective through the retailer they purchased from, as the local dealer network wouldn't support bikes imported before the official launch.

Now, buying from ebike24.com as an authorised European etailer should be a different story to grey imports, but it's worth confirming directly with Amflow that a purchase through that channel carries full warranty support in Denmark before you hand over any money.

As BikeRadar noted, reliability, repairability and warranty are just as important as raw power figures, and that's doubly true when you're buying cross-border. One practical consideration:

Amflow offers a discounted crash replacement service for the carbon frame and wheels during the warranty period, even for damage not covered under warranty. That's a nice safety net, but again, you'd want to confirm this applies to online purchases shipped to Denmark.

If it helps settle the nerves, most eMTB motor issues across all brands tend to be firmware or sensor related rather than catastrophic mechanical failures, and firmware updates on the Avinox are handled through the app and display. The Avinox system is still relatively young, but it's now powering bikes from Commencal, Forestal, Rotwild, Orange and others, so the service infrastructure is growing quickly. I'd say you're not taking an unreasonable risk, but do get that warranty confirmation in writing before you click "buy."

You posted in the wrong forum kind of, this is to ask questions to the bot "Greg"

But I was researching the same thing. As far as I can tell, you are fucked if this happens. The big amflow support thread contains zero cases of them mailing a replacement motor or battery
