Brose 2.2 on 2022 Levo Whining

2,200 mile in 26 months and the motor starts making the whining sound. The warranty just ended 2 months ago! The LBS where I bought the Levo Turbo Expert gets Specialized to discount the motor 50% so I it will cost around $800 to get a new motor and install it. It will come with a 1 year warranty.

Question is will the latest 2.2 motor last any longer or am I looking at a rebuild/replacement in another few years?

Have you checked your see if you can get it repaired? In the Uk we have places like the Ebike motor centre ran by @Bearing Man who could look at fixing the motor at potential fraction of the cost.

It's a shame the motor last so few miles before needing an overhaul. Next time I will get the motor rebuilt by ebike motor repair in the US.

Got the bike back today. Bike is so quiet now. Will try it out this weekend on the trails. $800 it cost to replace the motor!

you're lucky, I have a new motor in my 2023 levo & it came with a low whine under a peddle load. Shop said thats normal

New motor is still silent no whine under load. I shared the audio with the bike shop and they got it replaced. It was just out of warranty so I had to pay but specialized did extend a discount. Good luck.
