• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

Has anyone used the new Furious Evo chip with rim magnet on the new Bosch gen 5 ?
E Biketuner supply them and say 100% success rate so far ….?
Only on the gen 4 with rim magnet with update 10-2025 everything works fine , don't know about the 12-2025 update.

The Gen 5 is pretty similar to the gen 4 with rim magnet they say. I use it for almost one year now with zero problems and even updated the software till Bosch 10-2025 ( had the Furious evo removed while updating ) I use a disk magnet with the furious evo not the spoke magnet but this is no influence in this.

I tried the furious on my Bosch gen5 cube 177 and I gave up 🆙 n the end, wherever I put the sensor and magnet the original sensor in the crankcase would pick it up,returned it and swapped with a speedbox and it’s been flawless 3k in.

Wow I had the complete opposite ! I had the speedbox before and it completely crashed the electronics of my bosch gen 4 motor( rim magnet ) , even after uninstalling the speedbox it was still behaving irreducibly and Bosch replaced it. I received a new speedbox from speedbox and a completely new Bosch Gen 4 motor both under warranty.
