Bosch Gen4 Walk Assist

I’ve just changed from Cube Reaction (Purion) to Trek Rail (Kiox) but same Bosch Gen4 setup. Walk assist worked perfectly on the Cube, but its near useless on the Trek. It is as if it is cutting the power as soon as it feels torque, then takes a few moments to ramp up again, then cuts to nothing. Is this just a characteristic of Trek Rail?

Not an issue with my Rail. Works fine, but I have Purion, not Kiox.

I find the same on my Cube with Knox ?
