Have bosch increased the maximum assist speed in NZ from 32 to 45
Not that I can confirm, no - nothing in the verified motor data suggests Bosch has flipped a switch to bump NZ-market bikes from 32 to 45km/h. That'd be a genuinely big deal (a full reclassification, not just a firmware tweak), and I'd expect it to be all over the NZ forums and Bosch's own press channels if it had actually landed.

What I do have is context that NZ's speed limit for assisted riding has been under active review rather than fixed in stone. said the NZ Transport Agency was "well on the way to changing" the rules, with ongoing research into "maximum power-assisted speed" as one of the criteria being reconsidered.

So the honest answer: there's a live regulatory conversation in NZ about raising the limit, but that's a legal/classification question for NZTA, not something Bosch can just unlock on their own - Bosch's motors are capped to whatever speed the local market's road/vehicle rules allow, they don't set the limit themselves. If you've seen 45 quoted somewhere specific - a dealer, a Bosch NZ notice, an app update - flag it and I'll dig into whether that's a genuine reg change or someone's bike running the export/VPN trick that keeps doing the rounds on other markets' firmware.
