Hi, I too have a problem with my Bosch motor, something trivial perhaps like a bearing? Could I send you the motor for repair and expect it back within say, 5 weeks or so?? Thanks Henry.

Yes, no problem. Just follow this link and it will tell you all you need to know about sending your motor to us. Our current turnaround is a lot less than 5 weeks too! eBike Motor Repair and Service

I had two failures, but I also ride every day in the worst weather.

- Bosch warranty replacement took FOUR DAYS.

- Out-of-warranty (7 years old GEN2): I sent to some one-person 3rd party repair shop. Perfectly repaired in two weeks. (Also they gave 12 months warranty on that). Running fine ever since.

Bosch is has the best support network. You still get parts and batteries etc. (both original and 3rd party) for every motor they ever shipped.

I’ve got one of those sitting as a spare on my shelf.…but it works.

The Motor Centre provided me with the driver side casing on the Bosch gen4 CX for a very reasonable price.

The motor mount bolts had sheared off on the driver side but the internals were still good …no water ingress. The CPU board was still good. I don’t think anyone can claim that these motors are waterproof …water resistant yes 👍🏻.

The Motor Centre suggested that regular maintenance with Bosch grease and a Bearing Seal Kit is helpful. My gen4 CX is almost 7 years old now and I’ve driven my bike like a submarine several times.

Why are you carrying a rocket launcher 🤔

The hikers around here can be unpredictable sometimes. I’ve been in hiker territory before, and that comes with a risk.

I’ve seen them wandering around as though they’re lost, gazing at their phones, excessive cologne, high heels, ill-prepared, weird apparel, earbuds, singing to themselves, large groups or a single rogue jogger.

Thankfully I ride a tank, aka Trek Rail 9.7. 😉

That could’ve been bridge decking day also. 🤷🏼‍♂️

My bosch motor on my 10 year old cube has had a couple of problems over the years.
This firm fixed it well and quickly

The part and pictures , I put on EMTB first of all , showed the part that broke off the board .I sent it to a specialist , it came back solderd back on , it looked great , 505 error gone , But , they did not or could not test the board to see if anything else was faulty ! So I put it all together, error 505 fixed, but no power ! So €65 down and nothing ! . You can test these boards with a remote setup , but the people I sent it to obviously dont have this tech .So waist of money .
