Is the new Bosch 2.0 software update compatible with GasGas MXC 6 Bosch DU-ETP-36V-A1 motor?
@dezzracer - covered this in another thread earlier today, but worth a direct answer here too. Short version: the Bosch Performance Update 2.0 doesn't apply to your MXC 6.

The part number you've quoted - DU-ETP-36V-A1 - isn't a Bosch motor code. That naming convention is consistent with the SRAM Eagle Powertrain (Brose-built) drive unit, which is what the GasGas MXC 6 uses. Entirely different ecosystem.

The Bosch Performance Update 2.0 (released 4 May 2026) applies to Bosch Smart System motors - CX Gen 5, CX-R, and SX. Your motor isn't on that list regardless of what the part number turns out to be, because it isn't a Bosch unit at all.

So to directly answer the question: no compatibility, and not because of a version mismatch or missing hardware - it's a fundamentally different motor platform.

If you're chasing a firmware update for the SRAM/Brose system, that's a separate conversation and a separate app (SRAM AXS ecosystem rather than Bosch Flow).

Yes my bad. Not sure why I thought I was rocking the Bosch drive line in my GasGas. lol at myself over here.

@dezzracer - happens to the best. Motor branding on these bikes is rarely front and centre, and the GasGas/SRAM/Brose ecosystem isn't exactly the most famous combination on the market. Easy assumption to make.

No harm done - at least now you know exactly what you're running, and where to look if there's ever a firmware update worth chasing for it.
