Does anyone know the size of the bearings in the front wheel?

I'd rather get the replacements ordered before taking to old ones out.

If you still need the info, provide more details regarding the specific wheel and you might receive a useful answer. The recent Line series of front wheels use 18307 bearings (2 of them) with the dimensions being 30x18x7mm.

just pop a hub end cap off and read the code on the seal.

Well, you don't get a dog and bark yourself... :p

You are and it's not.

It’s a Bontrager Line 30 (I think) on a 2020 Rail 7. It’s kind of immaterial now though; I flat-spotted the rim this week so the wheel is essentially toast.

Dang, that's unlucky! Well, maybe it would help the next person looking or if you get the same wheel. Your bike would have the Line Comp 30 wheels.

Front wheel bearing:

Part # 431759 - 18307 Bearing 18x30x7

Rear wheel bearing:

Part # 432399 - 6903 Bearing 30x17x7mm

No it isn't.
Just lace a new rim on and replace the bearings as you intended to.
You're in Wales. Not Surrey.

Yes, it is. I can’t build wheels so I’d be paying someone else to build it for me and I’ve got a set of Hope hubs with EX511 rims on the way so I really don’t see the point.

Oh, and I’m in Scotland, not Wales.

The folks at Trek might want to revise the tech info on file, since the bearing is most commonly referred to as 18307 and not 30187.

You're correct on this. 18307 is actually how it is listed on the part-specific page and details, but the wheel doc is the prior.
