I have received my Rail 9.8 with carbon rims (it was a Project One that arrives 6 months earlier than standard) and I always have in my mind the doubt that they are more discomfortable than Aluminium ones...

I know my ZEB 2.1 is not the plushiest, above all for my light weight setting (already ordered 3.0 upgrade coming in October), but I would like to know if someone else feel that these rims are not the best in terms of comfort.

Do you think, for example, that DT Swiss HX 1501 will have similar impact resistance but offer more "softness" to the arms?

Thanks

ok, thanks a lot for helping to get out of my mind this doubt. Will see in a month if Zeb's buttercups and new charger/debonair will help to reduce harshness.

SandroRiz,

Great topic. My ’21 Rail 9.8XT is so harsh it’s making my arms go numb. Carbon frame, bars & wheels. Trying to tweak suspension right now.

Interested in other folks’ thoughts.

I’m 210 lbs. and running 20 psi front & 22 rear with OEM tires. Using 90% of rear suspension travel and 95% of front suspension travel.
