Bikestand washing/maintenance?

Anyone have a bikestand they use on their cube stereo/reaction hybrid?
wondering of it can safely be hanged with the clamping mechanism?

I use a Park Tool PCS10.2, very stable stand. I remove the battery and clamp on the seatpost.

I don’t have a dropper so not an issue for me. If I did, I’d only clamp to the lower part of the dropper post - if the clamp would fit there (the clamp is quite small actually). If not, I’d clamp to the top tube.

I use a crossbar meant for car rack purposes that hooks under the bars and seat. Then I can clamp onto the crossbar horizontally in the stand. Still puts some upward force on the dropper but is shared by the bars/steering head.

Rotate the clamp & hang the bike from the top tube if marring the dropper is a concern. Either way, I always place a soft cloth in the jaws specifically to prevent scratches to the bike.

I have cube stereo hybrid. Im Using Neatt Oxygen Workstand and i clamp dropper post.

A cost-effective option @Hanzzzie is the Gioma bike stand, it's pretty compact and gives the right access for general cleaning and maintenance. You'd need a different solution when the front wheel needs removing though!

My local eBike shop uses Park Tools, stands and clamp to the seat post, dropper or not, so I guess it must be ok to do that…….

I bought a £30 stand online and saved hundreds over the cost of a Park Tools stand. It has some shortcomings (it won’t let you have both wheels in the air, the clamp isn’t strong enough to hold a front-heavy eBike clamped on the seat post), but really it’s fine for home use. I’ll find a link if anyone wants it.
