Considering the lack of supply; a fair price is
at least MSRP. I can see a "market adjustment" or "dealer markup" being justified just like is commonplace in the automotive industry when demand exceeds supply. I'd at least reprimand (in not outright terminate) a salesperson of mine who discounted a hot product with questionable resupply. Such a move is a solid indication the person is a bad salesperson. A good salesperson would sell the product in the barn at retail, and perhaps offer a discount to wait for a future shipment.
