Pal of mine is riding a Trek Powerfly & for various reasons has had enough of it. He's looking to upgrade but has about a million kids & so, isn't flush like the rest of us Rockefellers. What he really wants is a bigger battery, 700w/hr plus & probably no more than £3k price tag. After that, anything goes.

I reckon something like a Cube Stereo 140 HPC fits the bill, gen 4, 750 battery, ok spec, if you overlook the fork & a couple of other bits but very open to suggestions, as long as it's not Halfords.

I’m not in the Range-Anxiety-Club , but if I was I’d want the 750wh+ battery. I’d then make every effort to lighten up things with carbon components. (Frame, bar, cranks, wheels, …anything possible. (Running your bike at 20% battery doesn’t help lighten things up …trust me …😉).

I’ve been reluctant to upgrade to the Zeb fork because of the additional weight. So there’s that comprise. I also got rid of the Powerfly for a Fuel EXE. No cost savings there. Especially after I started upgrading things. This can be an expensive hobby.

Start selling children 🤷‍♂️ to fund our hobby 😉😳. My children don’t like that idea…even though they’re adults now.
