On a ride last weekend on some pretty rough trails I noticed my bike had seemed to have a pretty diminished range and didn't seem to have as much power on the climbs as usual. After cleaning it up and going through it I noticed the rear brake caliper wasn't centered on the rotor. I thought it just an adjustment issue at first but after investigating more and pulling the rear wheel I can clearly see the end cap on the brake side is not square and is at a bent angle causing serious drag and misalignment of the axle and brakes etc..
The bike is out of warranty, but I'm wondering if I should stick to using a Giant dealer to resolve or use any decent bike shop.
Has anyone else experienced this?

So LBS Hank and Frank in the Bay Area just told me the wheel is fixed after dropping it off yesterday! They said the end cap on the brake side must've come lose enough in it's threads to become cockeyed. They were able to back it out and clean up the threads and re-seat it.
Hopefully this info can help somone else if they have the same issue.
Cheers
