Battery range vs other brands

Went for a day at Bike Park wales with my Whyte e-150, with a friend on his Orbea Wild.
Why would my bike be using around 5% more battery on the main climb than his? Same mode all the way. Would it be purely to do with cadence? We both have the same motor and battery, and I have upgraded my display to a kiox.

Tyres? Pressure? Rider weight?

then add battery age ? battery use/abuse ? where battery is in its charge/discharge cycle? most likely just relative rider effort ?
With so many potential variables 5% is relatively insignificant.

Assist setting are different on every bike. I use ECO with higher total limit when most use trail.
If you want more range make ECO mode usable and tune trail to split ECO and boost.
