They certainly have the DIY market covered well with every part available at reasonable cost. The late motors are good performers and reasonably efficient at not too heavy weights (3.3kgs @150Nm ).

But would I recommend them in countries where mud and water logged trails are the winter norm, probably not as the single seal on the crank side is giving me a real problem at the moment, the design of the seal is just where all that sand and mud sits and thats grinding paste to exposed seals on a rotating shaft. Bosch and others have moved over to multiple seals and protection at that point.
