Answered Axle grease?

I removed the front thru axle and it has a type of white grease on it.

What type of grease is recommended for a thru axle?

Could that grease be a white lithium? If i lube an axle, I tend to use GT85, as I've usually prepped my frame with it..

Its not critical...any lube/grease on the through axle only serves to help it be inserted and removed.

I use a fairly thick bike bearing grease from Decathlon. My 2018 Turbo Levo headset needed to be lubed every 2 months to stop creaking and my 2020 T Levo goes about 6 months before creaking. I just take off the top retainer plate and loosen the stem clamp to let the fork stem drop about an inch and smear a bit of new grease into the gap both top and bottom. Back together and it's good for another 6 months. It takes about 5 minutes once the bike is on a stand that won't let the fork drop too far.

can prevent scuffs on it from insertion/removal also though.
