That is an interesting suggestion that people interested in Avinox (a DJI brand) motored bikes go for an Amflow (another DJI brand), due to unique international firmware. I was aware that the new Orbea Avinox equipped bike had custom Orbea firmware, but had assumed that the firmware on all the other 3rd party Avinox bikes had the same sort of firmware as the Amflows sold in their country.
So, am I correct in understanding that, for example, a person in the UK or France, who buys a bike with Avinox motor from Propain, Atherton, Teewing, etc...who then brings it to America (or uses a VPN to simulate an American location) and wants to swap to American firmware will not be able to do so, because Avinox has locked that bike down with locally specific firmware, but a person from those same countries who buys an Amflow and brings it to America (or uses a VPN to simulate an American location) will have no problem switching to American firmware?
I see reports of Crestline buyers from Europe/UK who are able to switch to American settings, but perhaps that is because Crestline is an American brand? If that is the case, I wonder about people in Europe/UK who buy a Pivot or other 3rd party American brand. Either way, that would be pretty interesting if DJI was giving a sort of unique international motor firmware capability only to buyers of Amflows, but locking buyers with 3rd party bikes down to the firmware region in which the bike was sold.
