I ordered that exact tyre and they sent a 2.5 Maxx Terra ?‍♂️ Contacted them and they told me it was a listing error.

If you order it you’ll get something else ?

Yeap, same for me. I ordered the 29×2.6 Maxxgripp DD from two different shops and both sent me a different tire, but not what was listed and what I ordered.

So long I'm happy with the 29x2.5 Maxxgripp DD.

You can get the 2.6 with maxxterra grip from this website apparently bikeimport.ch.

I have been riding one here in California for a few months now. The 2.6 is REALLY quite large. I wish I had gone 2.5 for my Turbo Levo Comp. It grips for days!!! Stickiest tire I have ever ridden.
Do you have the maxxterra or the maxxgrip version ? Thanks

I rode the Thok TK01 with Assegai 2.6" Maxxterra 3C Eco+. Didn't measure them, but they seemed comparable to the Minion DHF/DHR 2.6". They seemed wider than the Assegai 2.5".

Can't see this tyre on Maxxis site. Is it really coming for next season? That would be perfect as the the 29x2.50 Assegai is a bit on the narrow side. Maxxgrip is perfect for front tyre on an emtb.

I rode an Assegai 29 x 2.6 on the front on a Trek Rail 9.8. It was rocky and loose terrain. It hooked up well and went where I wanted it to go. Really good at 15-20 mph. I do not know what version (compound & tech) of the 2.6 was on the bike. No problem fitting between the forks.

chain reaction has then in 2.6 DD plus another casing am waiting for the DD to replace my E-wild

Based on the customer comment there, that product listing has an error in that it's really the EXO+ version of the tire, and not the brand new MaxxGrip DD one.
