I am, no not had my start time. I'm pretty sure it'll be stupid early like 8 - 8:45 as in previous years.
What race are you doing?

Doing the Intro this year on the Sunday

Last year did the Full one on the Sunday, but it was pretty much unrideable for the first 2 stages. Every time you touched the brakes you were on the floor. Had to retire after the 2nd stage as damaged my mech

Redemption this year though

yeah, I must admit I'm a bit nervous about the weather/ conditions. I said to the wife about it, it's not like down south where its all woodlands, open marshlands and rocks are a different beast.

Hopefully the weather will play ball,

What are you doing?

Stages 4-7 are the more flowy ones, hence why I am doing those this year

My time is 8.30 on the Sunday, so 8am Registration,

Looks like Im leaving home at 5.30am

I'm doing the full race Sunday, 8:45 start time. Number 3348 All 7 stages.

I'm doing the friday Epic event, starting at 10:30. Did the same last year as well but this year will be first time on an ebike. I'm a little worried about the range and elevation. I've got a shimano EP801 system with a 630WH battery. I've never done a big ride only in eco so I don't know what to expect for range. Most i've got out of it was about 32km and 1200m of elevation but that was mostly trail with bits of boost.

I'm in. Full race. 10ish start time. Did it last year for first time. Was fun. Hopefully no cnuts hogging the camping drinking water tap to wash their bikes this year.

I crashed there in year 1 or 2, lost my phone, it was showing still alive in the same place for days.

Oh shit, hopefully you get through OK this year,

That was one of the places where I didn't crash last year

Knackered my mech at the end of stage 2 on the hill down to the finish

I have my little Karcher mobile pressure washer, so hopefully that will hold enough water not to hog.

Im banking on the drive home cleaning my bike, if its like last year, it wont be an issue

Seriously I'm just hoping for a dry weekend

Those who rode last year in the full 7stages. How’d you manage with one battery? 700w. Obviously the conditions were horrible , so drier trails should help with more range. Anyone run out ??

The full loop is about 45k, may have to turn the mode down to complete it

Im planning on riding in TOUR / EMTMB for the transitions and Turbo for the stages, only doing 4-7 though this year

For what it is worth, last year on my SL I used 160WH on the first 2 stages before trashing my mech

2 weeks to go, not riden for 3 weeks, better get on the bike and get some k's into the legs

I'll be on my 750 battery with a 250 extender just in case it isn't dry.

Ard Rock week is here, forecast looks really good

Time to start prepping the bike, starting with a wash and drivetrain degrease / lube

I just know this week at work is going to dragggggggggg

Let's hope so, the magic mary's i ordered weeks ago for this weekend are not arriving until mid-August now???

You'll just have to rely on your steezy shredding chops, Surfy 🤪 Looking forward to seeing the videos of this. it's a great event.

Yeah i've not been since i retired from racing in 2018, but I have raced it 3 times prior, its got a lot bigger since the early years.

Have to say I am really looking forward to Sunday now, even more so looking at the weather forecast

Not fussed about my time as I am there to enjoy myself

Hope everyone that went to Ard Rock had a great time

Sunday was great for us, perfect weather and a great ride

I wasn't bothered about my times, but I did set myself a target for the 4 stages which I easily beat

Signed up for the 25 ticket drop news already
