Anyone Use a Thule UpRide Roof Mounted Rack?

Not specifically emtb but i'm asking as i'm brainstorming ideas for mounting/holding bikes, both digital and analogue, in the back of my van.

If anyone has a Thule UpRide Rack; could this rack be securely mounted to a plywood floor in a van (possibly with slight modification) or does it specifically require appropriate roof bars to mount?

Yes, you could easily bolt the thing to the floor using the same clips that it uses to bolt to the roof bar channels.
