Anyone install a larger Chain ring?

I have a Moterra SL2 and find myself in the smallest 5 gears. Rarely in the larger cogs. I would like to spread the love over the entire range of cogs. Does anyone recommend or advise against it? I want to go from 34 to 36. Thanks

I installed a 36 on my Gen 4 levo. It's been perfect as it helps both ride in class 3, and I'm fine thing that I'm using much more the upper portion of the cassette.

I did this on my Heckler, and my mates have done it on their Whytes. I wish I could on my Orbea, but there's not enough clearance.

My Fatty came with a 42 ring, unable to climb much.
Picked up longer bolts and spacers added a 36 ring along side and
finger shift for roads. But I had the needed clearance.
36 moved me to mid cassette for our single trails.
