Anyone changed there own motor?

I am looking at a friend's bike as he is having problem's with it, it has noisy bearings and will intermittent run for a split second and the cut out with error code 500. It a cx gen 2 motor so does anyone know if it can be fixed or is it new motor time? Any help would be much appreciated

I think Performance line bearing can fix most problems with the Bosch Gen 2 motors.

They have quite a few videos of motor strip downs if you wanted to attempt the repair yourself.

I have used their motor repair service and can recommend.

Yes should be fixable for the bearings it’s just the error 500 and this might not be fixable. But best way would be to get it inspected.
