Smith creek cycle posted yesterday that amflow had broken up with their Canadian distributor - Dian Motors. Nothing on either company’s website yet. Anyone put down a deposit with a dealer? What were you being told for deliveries? Refund policy?
I’m curious if amflow might try to direct in Canada. Also sounds like they’re having issues in the USA.

Posted that in the US PX deliveries thread but the development went largely ignored. Weird.

From what I hear, Amflow was difficult to work with and that profit margins on the bikes were not a lot. This probably added that it was financially viable for dealer to stock them and cover costs of storing, support and sales. Which really is understandable.

Another article I read is that Amflow
Is going the route of B2C to LBS model - similar to what you see with many brands. You order the bike and it is shipped to an authorized dealer for assembly for pick up and support. Now how good this warranty support is going to be still remains to be seen.

On a side note, Smith Creek did say they were gonna refund the deposits for those that cannot wait for the bike - but they would eat the 5% credit card charge. Also on their website and other LBS I have talked to - their is no definitive dates on when the bikes will appear as AmFlow scrambles to get into the Canadian market. This sucks as many (including myself) are waiting on our order and money is tied into the deposit. Ride season in Canada is short - it would have been nice to get the bike in June as promised. I am close to looking at other alternatives because of this fiasco. Sadly Dian and Amflow could not reach an agreement and just messed up the customers and the LBS. Not a good way to launch a brand in a new market.

Whatever deal they had should have been set months or a year ago.

Have you been in touch with Smith Creek cycle?

My educated guess is the issue behind the breakup with the Canadian distributor is related to compensation for direct-to-consumer sales into Canada. Surely the distributor feels these D2C sales undercuts them (and the Canadian dealers for that matter).

I lost the nut off one of my M2S mounting bolts. While I wait for my LBS to go thru the Mondraker dealer, I decided to try to buy thru the only Amflow dealer in Vancouver. I called each of their locations, and no one had any idea how to order or even contact Amflow.

I tried to go thru your US Center, but they are not set up for sales.

How can I purchase replacement parts?

I'd talk to forbidden.
And consider supporting them in the future.
Better bikes, and better service.

I had an acoustic Forbidden Druid V1. Excellent post sales support, warranty experience, and parts availability. I even was able to arrange local pickup for some replacement bits on short notice when I was in Cumberland on a riding trip.
I would absolutely buy from them again.
