Had one of my suspension bolts work its way loose today, but LBS duly sorted it out when I took it to them.

I did try to remove the chain guide to do it myself on the trail but the allen bolts heads were obscured by the front chain ring. I decided to not fiddle in the end and rode back carefully.

Out of curiosity how would I fix this if I was in the middle of no where but had all the necessary tools?

If it happens again. I would do what I had to do to get at the suspension bolts and then use Loctite Blue on them. It works. Follow the instructions - mainly applying to clean threads.

Cheers, the LBS did say they were using loctite on them so hopefully they did.

I cut down an allen key to reach 2 motor mount bolts that are hidden by the chainring on my hooptie. I swing the guide out of the way and tighten.

Does removing the chain help the access?

I've since bumped into a fellow rider who has the same bike and reckon you can do this by removing the chain and one of the chain guide bolt which allows you to swing the chainguard out of the way to gain better access. I'm yet to give it a try since my LBS re-tightened and applied Loctite.
