A viking riding in Italy

Hello everyone, my name is Leif Karlsson, I’m new to emtbforums, but I have been cycling all my life, first in Sweden and now in Italy.

I have recently bought a HAIBIKE ALLTRACK 6 with Yamaha engine, SRAM derailleur and Shimano brakes.

I have a problem with my speedsensor and the magnet. At first I got double speed on my display, than half the speed, and sometimes zero speed, and no power assist. I mounted two little washers (1 mm thick) between the sensor and its connection to the left rear fork end, (the magnet is mounted in the rotor).

The result was 0 km/h constantly displayed and no power assist. It felt weird, as I thought they were two far apart.

Any ideas?

The distance from magnet to sensor when passing the sensor is 10 mm.

I have added a few pictures that shows how the magnet is placed on the rotor.
