Has anyone had luck using a bike with 1280mm (51.5”) wheel base on a Kuat NV 2.0 BASE rack? Spec’s say 50” max wheelbase. Is there a decent hitch mount rack out there that will work with longer wheelbase bikes? Thanks for any help!

My S-4 fits but I don't know if will fit if I slacken the head angle.. I would send Kuat an email and ask if they are going to a longer rack. I think it's needed in the market place.

I contacted Kuat and got a standard “50” inches answer. I went ahead and just bought it and can post pics later but it does fit I would have no problem going up to 52” inches on the NV 2.0.

I have just purchased a Kuat NV 2.0 Base for my new Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 Race 625. Medium bike, 29" tires with wheelbase of 1206 (about 48 inches). It fits on the actual rack, but here's a consideration for some. Bike is about 54# and (with my right long head bicep tendon gone and a slight right rotator cuff tear) I don't like the idea of lifting the bike up onto the ramp directly.
So I purchased the Kuat ramp to ease the loading. I then found that while it loaded OK, it was hard to impossible to take the ramp off as the bike's rear tire prevented angling the ramp the 20 degrees upward that is required to "unhinge" it. I called Kuat and cust svc man recommended that I lower the angle on the front tire cradle to allow rear tire to go forward a very slight amount. Haven't done that yet but am going to.
Bottom line - they all know that their racks are a bit short for some of the newer eBikes wheelbase. This actually surprises me because while they've accommodated the weight needs of most mountain ebikes (up to 60#), they've fallen short as to wheelbase. Kuat informs me that their new upcoming, expensive, rack "Piston Pro X" will be longer (wide) to accommodate to 53" wheelbase. Good luck.
