Levo Gen 2 2021 Levo

just picked up a 2021 comp. current 2018 levo owner. the 18 was great but ready for something new. 700wh and Fox/Shimano are welcome changes and the 29er thing is new for me. always been happy with 26-27.5 but gonna give it a whirl.....

sure, some people have. they have a flip chip too. I'm going to see what I think of 29 partly out of curiosity but also because I dont want to spend more $ on this damn bike ; ) they come with Shimano hubs and the rear has a through axle that appears different than my 2018 but I haven't taken it apart yet....

There won’t be any fanfare because it’s not a new platform.
The Comp model has a 160mm Fox 36, SLX four piston brakes, SLX 12-speed drivetrain, 35mm bar and stem and new centerlock hubs. My Specialized rep says the belt has been changed on the motor to something more robust.
The biggest reason for the belts (besides being a belt in general) failing is riders trying to climb in too high of a gear in turbo mode. So that’s part of the why 12-Speed drivetrains are on the bikes this year.
The 2022 model will probably change to a new Mahle derived motor, but I wouldn’t expect the frame layout to change all that much. A new Stumpjumper will be probably announced soon and the Levo is always based on what that bike looks like.
Gonna be lovin' me some Shimano drivetrain/brake action when my dealer can get his hands on one :)

After some postponing, I (finally) got some good news today from my LBS (Belgium):
your bike (TL Comp Large redwood/white mountains) will be available next week (as opposed to end of December)
That was a nice surprise... :D

Hope you get it at the price from when you ordered!

Yeah...it was only in the evening that I checked the Specialized site, only to discover that the price was 700 euro (!?) more than a few days before. I ordered the bike months ago when the price was set on 6.299 euro (now 6.999).
Checked the prices from different shops and they all show the augmented price now... ?
LBS is closed today. Going to ask them for some clarity tomorrow. When I ordered they mentioned 6.299 was going to be the new 2021 price, which was mentioned on all sites a few days later.
Order was registered, but I did not have to sign anything, so now I wonder if they can/will charge the new price. If they do, I'm not sure how to proceed, 700 euro plus seems pretty unreasonable price increase to me...
A solid downer atm... ?

I'm pretty sure you will get it for the price you agreed on.
