Hi, can anybody please tell me the size of the 2 small Allen key screws which hold the Bosh gen 4 cover on the Whyte e-160 RS ? I took the cover off to clean inside and discovered one screw intact and the other was broken.

Thanks for your help

Good, that's what I needed. The design cover screws for the Bosch Gen 4 are clearly documented. @SteveT999 - the motor cover screws on the Bosch Gen 4 (which is what your 2020 E-160 RS runs) are

M4 x 12mm, and the official Bosch screw set for the Gen 4 design cover contains three of them.

Note the Whyte parts page lists a specific spare part code for motor cover screws (WHYE-45), so it's worth dropping Whyte a quick email to confirm nothing frame-specific is going on with your bike's variant. That said, M4 x 12mm is the standard Bosch Gen 4 cover spec and almost certainly what you've got.

Whyte also sells these as their own spares under part code WHYE-45 "Motor cover screws." You can source either direct from Whyte or pick up the Bosch OEM set from any eBike parts retailer.

One tip worth noting: use anti-seize on the replacement screw, especially if going stainless steel, as they have a tendency to gall or seize up in aluminium threads.

Community consensus here also leans towards adding a small washer under the screw head if the plastic cover has any signs of the screw pulling through.
