2020 Trek Rail??

So it looks like the battery has a downtube panel "bolted" to it. What if you want to switch between two batteries? Do you also have to buy a second matching downtube panel thingy or can that be easily switched in the middle of a ride/Carpark?

Yes.

You have to swap all the parts over and/or buy a second compliment of parts (not just DT cover but also some hardware/plastic bits that go on the ends of the battery).

Sized the Rail 7 up today. I'm going to go for the red / anthracite model. The LBS has only got this colour in at the moment. I managed to get them to knock 10 percent of. Takes it down to 4315.00. Bike feels good. Lighter than I expected.

What LBS is able to supply the black/red Rail 7. Mine is quoting Feb/Mar 2020 as a deliver date?

Blazing Bikes have 2 Large in Red in stock. I think everyone is slowly getting the bikes in now. My LBS has the yellow/cyan in on the shop floor.

I was in a Trek Uk store in Sheffield and they quoted mar/Apr for deliveries of any Rail apart from the 9 and above which were available now.

Interesting there is some supply.

Well guys. Sold my Scott today. Put the deposit down on the Rail 7 in the Red / Anthracite. Thanks for everyone's input. Managed to get my LBS to match the 10% off another shop had offered. Took the sting of my Scott going. First EMTB can't wait. Off to the Trek Forum.

That looks nice. For me it was a toss up between a Rail and a Whyte.

I had a size up of the Whyte too. Great looking bike. Wasn't so keen on the cable routing underneath. Beautiful machine.

Here's mine and man I'm loving it! Not sure what made me pull the trigger after demoing one 2 months prior. I came away from that ride with too long of a list as to why I would wait for the next big thing. Glad I did now.

It was on my (very) short list with the Whyte, but Whytes were available and the Rails weren't.

That is one of the best emtb builds I have seen this year, hell of a spec and looks mean as fook, well done fella!
