I have recently had a new battery for my Turbo Levo Expert MY2017 and all was well for the first few rides but I am now experiencing what appears like a motor connection issue either at the start of a ride or it cutting out during a ride?

The connection from the battery to the motors appears good and is free from corrosion or dirt ingress.

Has anybody had similar motor problems and symptoms and is there anything I should try first before taking it back for the bike shop to investigate?

As ever any help and support gratefully received.

Quick update..all has been well for the last 3 rides but today the motor cut out again.

As it’s still under warranty is it possible to take it to a local to me specialised concept store to get it looked at or is it a case of taking it back to place of purchase which is a bit of a trek?

I have seen on the forum that sometimes there can be a break in the power cable where it goes through a bracket in the engine area. Might be worth talking to your dealer

Thanks I'll get it back to the dealer for a check up. When it works the motor is smooth and strong so it does feel like an electrical signal fault especially as its so random when it does it.

The exact thing jut started happening on my 2018 Levo Expert t about 500 miles on it. Its totally random and very frustrating.

Hope to get it back to bike shop next weekend so I’ll keep the thread updated as to their prognosis....

Happened to my 2018 twice. First time at 3 months old was repaired, second time at 18 months new motor fitted. Spesh LBS were brilliant - both times sorted under warranty.

Bike shop diagnosed a water damaged cable between battery and motor. Specialized as a goodwill gesture replaced cable. One ride completed and all working perfectly.

I have same problem with my 2018 Expert. Never ridden in the wet or washed. But it does this randomly. Very annoying actually. Shouldn't happen.Bike is brilliant otherwise.
