Yes. Magic Mary on the rear. I wouldn’t recommend it, just felt a bit vague. I’m actually running a 2.4 now and it’s much better.
 
2.4 on the back only @Doomanic ?

Will need new tyres soon and umming and arring on what to get. Longevity and all rounders needed if such a thing exists.
 
Yes. 2.4 rear and currently 2.6 front. Will be trying the new 2.4 MM on the front next.
 
2.6 are nice but with 40mm rims - bontrager line pro 40 carbon :) Whole wheel looks like better and do better. (I did it because my weight)

I’d say my Rail 7 has more than enough clearance to run a 29x2.8” tire. I wouldn’t even try on rim with less than a 35mm id. On a 30mm rim 2.6” is perfect. TBH there isn’t many options in 2.8” for 29” wheels and the ones that are out there especially WTB are insanely heavy
