New E-MTB off-road regulations in Crete Greece come into force today (1st April) following complaints from road cyclists.
– Any rider seen enjoying themselves on descents must immediately return uphill and do it again “properly”
– Mud on bike or rider will result in a compulsory 20-minute cleaning break before coffee
– Use of Turbo mode is now limited to posing for photos only
– All technical sections must be walked first, discussed in detail, then ridden badly
– Any rider cleaning a climb must apologise to the group for making it look easy
– Tyre pressures must be adjusted at least three times per ride, regardless of conditions
– Conversations at coffee stops must include at least one reference to “flow,” “line choice,” or “that was sketchy”
In addition, any rider who finishes the ride with battery remaining will be required to do an extra loop.
Compliance checks start immediately.
Have a Great Ride
Cheers,
Alan
