❓ Using Shimano brake disc with magnet for Steps on a Giant?

Hello,
I am currently building an extra wheelset for the use of spike tyres.
It is to be used on my new 2021 Trance X E+ 3.
So far I have all the parts together except for the magnet on the rear wheel, which is attached to the Centerlock of the brake disc by a bracket on the original.
I have now found a brake discs from Shimano (RT-EM600) which already have the magnet on the brake disc for the Shimano Steps motor (see photo).
Is there anything to stop me using this elegant solution on the Giant as well?

Thanks in advance!

Then I'll answer myself here, in case someone else finds my findings helpful...
Well, today I had all the parts together.
Result: The STEPS brake disc unfortunately does NOT work with the Giant.
The magnet is a bit further away from the sensor and a lot weaker than the Giant magnet.
Sh**... too bad...
I'll have to see if I can somehow get hold of the original Giant magnet? A dealer should be able to order it as a spare part?
