The hacksaw approach is indeed the way to go. Thanks to the slight force approach I still have the undamaged original chainring, useless forever in a box.

I drilled the hole, cut a m6 tread, and mounted the mudguard. 2 years after, it is proven that there was no structurally weakening, the structurally weakening didn't affect the safety margin, or the structurally weakening was not relevant to the applied load.

I wouldn't call some taps with a wood piece brute force :) But If I could start over, I would just cut the small 34t in 2x17t, it's useless anyway. The 38+ fit over everything without touching anything.

Our unelected EU imposes fabricants to imply such detections. It's in their din/iso paperwork. For people outside EU: replace "EU" with you local bureaucrat organization where nobody rides an Emtb. Spoiler alert: All "smart" emtb's with a gps sensor will (after an upgrade) start to compare...

29" x 2.25 Vittoria Mezcal front 27.5" x 2.8 Maxxis Rekon+ back You see, at the front the mudfender even fits between bridge and tyre, so there's still room for experiments :-)

I have a 29" wheel at the front, but in the end the 29x2.25 has roughly the same outer diameter as a 27.5*2.8 A 29x2.4 won't fit (I suppose), the space between tyre and bridge is limited.

Thanks for the warning ! I will have a look immediately this evening. On mine it's the least washed spot of the whole bike. A wipe on both sides of the wheel, but too lazy to clean between the spokes.

The small light charger is the one from the E-st100 or E-st500. Those also have smaller, but compatible batteries. It's my pleasure to post here, I learnt a lot here too !

I really like the Brose on my Emtb, no noise at all, tune-able,... So as Hardtail you have the Decathlon or Bulls E-Stream 2000 to 5000 euro. As Fully there is a Bulls E-Stream, Wild Flow or the Specialized Levo, 5000 to 14000 euro My E-st900 costs +3000euro now, with dropper post, tuning...

You can mount till 42t, but I see 38t as the ideal too. Tip: just cut the original chainring in 2. As its diameter is small, you will struggle to get it off, and never want to go back anyways.
