New battery cover! Tightened down the battery latch to stop the god awful battery noises, removed the fox x2 and switched it up with a 2023 Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil and all brand new pivot/shock mount bearings. This is the best and quietest the bike has ever run! The coil is miles...

Merida eOne-Sixty, wires in the headtube mangled

My first one, but I hated the look of the headset cables from the beginning and the light was absolutely useless in comparison to some proper lights.

Merida eOne-Sixty, wires in the headtube mangled

It was one of the first things I did when I picked my bike up, removed the light and routed the control cable through the vents. I then mixed up some epoxy and filled the hole in the headset cover.

S Sweet! I have even had the bike setup with byb telemetry (Zeb up the front is amazing) and the back end still feels way too soft, but you add more pressure and it rides like crap. Might go order a 2023 coil ultimate for it!

How are you finding the coil on the back? I am contemplating removing the X2 I put on mine in favour of a coil as I just don't get along with it too well.

Perfect, thank you! As suspected its a 180 - 203 post mount on the bike, so changing to a 180-220 will do the trick!

Does anyone know what rear brake rotor adapter they run on the e160? I am looking to upgrade from the stock rear size 200mm to a 220mm rotor (already have 6 bolt wheels, etc) just not near the bike for a while and wanted to get something ordered today. I am pretty sure it has a 180-203 adapter...

The new EW-SW310 SHIMANO STEPS Satellite System On/Off Switch

So does this mean you can ditch the screen then? Seems it only lists it works with the EP801 and EP600. Would be super interested in putting this on my EP8 2021 Merida E-160 8000

Have replaced the wheels on my E160 with I9 hubs and use Sram HS2 rotors with a bolt on magnet, I had to slightly file down the metal casing for the magnet as it was just clipping the sensor on the frame, but now its perfect.

    e160 handlebar change

I ran my control unit cable out the right side of the bike and re-routed my rear brake through that side when I removed the standard slx's. Added an I9 Stem, One-up carbon bars and used epoxy resin to fill the stem hole. I think get the OEM Shimano cable holders for the switch wiring, doubled it...

    2021 E160 - 170mm fork?

I rode 40kms yesterday on a mix of down's, some xc, and some climbing, honestly could not find any negatives to it all. I dropped my stem 5mm to compensate and once you are in the sag the difference is so minimal. I was a bit concerned at first, but after the first few rides it was definitely...

    2021 E160 - 170mm fork?

I recently fitted up a set of 2023 Zeb Ultimates 170mm 44mm offset to my my 2021 E160 8000 and its the best thing I did, bike feels so much better and just eats up the rough stuff now, I also find it handles better in tighter turns than it used to. Instantly gaining PB's everywhere with only the...

Yeah that might be worth a shot, but I have given up on it, I have an i9 stem and have removed the light from the light and have run the display cable out the side vents on the bike and epoxied up the hole now.

When I fitted my oneup threadless carrier they say 2nm, but I have since gone to 3nm and it seems to hold the headset cap a lot better.

Goodbye Bomber Z1, hello 2023 RockShox Zeb Ultimate 170mm fork! Waiting on my X2 Performance Elite to come back from service, so the old DPX2 is back on for the moment.

Mine does the same thing, I have given up and just live with it now. Ideally I would like to replace the headset cap with something else.

    e one sixty stem swap,

I removed the light, changed the stem and spacers on my 2021 E-One Sixty 8000 a couple of months ago. I also filled the small hole on the headset cap with some part epoxy as otherwise your headset bearings will fill up with water incredibly quickly. I fitted up an Industry Nine stem, hope...

Yup sure did have the issue. I binned the light and removed the display cable and ran it through the side of the frame with the other cables and got some epoxy resin and filled in the hole in the cover so it stops all the dirt and water getting into the headset bearings. Such a poor design...
