Not a chance, the knobs are starting to peel off the carcass, I like getting my money’s worth and this one needs burying ?
After an almighty fight, lots of swearing & two snapped tyre levers, managed to get a wire bead Dirty Dan on the back over the procore.
should hook up nicely on the mud...
Nice! I did 3 laps of the pines yesterday. Was great fun in the slop. I’ve still not bumped into a other 180rs yet...
Pines is really good fun on an eeb. I did it to death on a hardtail and began to hate the place, now it’s just a flat out smash fest ?
Oh go on then ?
Here’s my monster truck ?
Looking out toward Mam Tor - the ride that killed my rear wheel.
Halfway down Cut gate - my local and favourite trail. I’ve got the E-Kom for this trail, mostly thanks to the bike being a complete hooligan.
Guess the military significance??
Mmmmm...
Yes mate, it’s doing ok. Interestingly I fitted a 600lb spring last week which has brought my sag to 25% ish and completely stopped pedal strikes. Bike also feels much more lively which suits my riding style.
I prefer the mod you are doing with the second notch on the motor cover. I’ll...
Hiya chaps.
If you want to go belt and braces, I guess you could remove the brake hose entirely and feed both through a new grommet. I’m not that fussed, a blob of black sealant does the job. I’m of the camp that bikes are for using not for looking at ?
Sean there’s no clips in the way, it...
What Tribey said ?
I didn’t remove mine, the plastic cover does for over the crank arm if you rotate it round a bit.
Hoping to get a 600lb spring this week, should sit the bike a bit higher up in its travel ?
I’m really glad I didn’t treat myself to the hope cranks, mine are completely...
Yeah, easier way is remove rear sus bolts (the ones next to rear axle. You can then see into the chain stay, there is a hole for the cable just inside. It’s pretty easy to manipulate a cable inner through, then follow with the outer ?
Had a bash at rerouting Rear mech cable myself today. A smashed up rear wheel stops actual bike play for me today. Probably took 90mins beginning to end. Saves me buying AXS!
It’s actually pretty simple to reroute, only needs motor cover taking off. Most difficult but was making room in the...
Yes mate ? you will love it! Glad you don’t have to wait long, I preordered one and had to wait months.
Awesome machine. Would you post up a pic of the rerouted cable please? Going to attempt this myself. I’m now on my 4th replacement ??
Mine rattles like skeletons in a biscuit tin. To be fair it only materialises on mega rocky fast descents. Annoyingly that’s most of the Peak District where I live/ride. It sounds like a bad case of chain slap.
Now if Bosch could fix that and Whyte sort out the cable routing that would be...
Very decent of you. I’m up past Sheffield unfortunately. Think I’m going to treat myself to a AXS upgrade and be done with it. Granted that may be the single most expensive way of “fixing” the problem but I like shiny new stuff ?
It’s a big flaw that needs sorting. Maybe for MY21?? My other ride is an evil insurgent which I run in xlow. Never have any problems with that bike. (Evil is 334mm vs E180 336mm bb height)
The evil manuals for fun and I run the recommended 30% sag. I guess it’s always poor technique whacking...
Yeah it takes a beating, as soon as it’s wet then the cable will seize pretty fast. I will look at re routing it, frankly I’ll just get LBS to do it.
It’s worth looking at sag really carefully on these bikes. I’m on the limit of preload for the stock spring, will probably lift the bike up a...
