I'm not familiar with that particular rack ..is it not possible to buy larger straps ? Should all else fail buy some bungee elastic cord ..I 've used them on my bike rack previously ...

You would have to get a really early start to get some riding in " late " morning leaving from Inners to Torridon ..don't just look at the mileage involved as the further North West you go the narrower the roads get and end up singletrack with passing places ! Where I would disagree with Gary...

The revamp is most probably very similar to how it started out ..? Give it a few years ..

Are you going for it TG ..? Although I like riding in a group and meeting new riders .." events" have never appealed to me ..and I would rather put the money towards a trip away where its slightly less crowded .. As an event though I understand that it's one of the best ..

I did 8mph for 5miles ..sometimes dropping below that because of the great lump of a thing in front of me ..and all because I forgot my charging cable for my phone.. Google maps ate my battery and shortly after setting off I realised I only had 15% charge ..missed my turning when the battery ran...

Aye well ..I enjoyed it right enough ..but at 2hrs 49mins to get there ..Next year maybe ..although those local could well be interested ..

It didn't bother me at all ..in fact I'm making a habit of taking a comedy fall on every group ride so far ..
