My 18 Carbon Comp Levo is standard. I've always felt that the dropper post is a bit high when in the lower position. Is there an option that will give me more drop? (ie; less stack of bits above the frame?!)
Thanks for the tool info ASV - appreciated...
Got my RaceFace chainring arriving from Chaunreaction today, so fingers crossed....
Ordered last night at about 8pm, delivery today for an extra £4 - pretty good service!
So, learning that nothing is standard! The nice new Shimano SLX chainring I got has the ‘offset’ pattern of 4 holes, but the bike has a spider/chainring with 4 evenly spaced holes....? - my fault, should have checked!
I have a new chainring to fit to my '18 Levo - you mentioned 'special tools' above - will I need them to change the chainring - sorry, slightly off-topic...
How do you know how many links the chain has (apart from the obvious of 'counting them':)) - what would the 'standard' be on a '18 Levo Comp...
If I change to a 34t chainring (from standard 32t) and to a 11- 46 cassette, will I need more links?
Just noticed a broken tooth on my Levo rear cassette - probably caused by the increased chain-jumping . have been having recently...still on original chain etc.
I had wanted to increase the tooth count on the front sprocket anyway, so thinking now is the time to do to do the lot - any better...
I'm not massively impressed with my standard '18 Carbon Levo brakes....sort of related - is a sticking brake rear brake cylinder a warranty issue on a year old bike? Uneven wear on the pads and lever feels crap...cheers
Yep - inclined to agree - the autosag is only convenient because I have to use it all the time (if you see what I mean!!) - a working shock won't need all the fiddling :) - at the time of the first replacement my feeling was 'I paid for that feature, I want it....' but now. I'm not really a bike...
As fitted, I have the '18 Levo (Carbon Comp) shock that has the 'auto sag' feature.
On my first one (!) the lock-out was screwed, so LBS swapped it out under warranty with no issue - at the time (about 6mth ago) Specialized had changed the replacement shock to a different model, which did not...
I’m wondering if my Rockguardz is actually a little expensive to be so sacrificial - Dartmoor rocks are brutal - I may investigate the Amygos option as well....once that carbon cracks it gets pretty nasty...
