I just used the oversized ones from the Bay, £9 set 5 (1 spare). Look a bit better when bigger IMO :)

With the title of this thread being 'Better jockeys', mine arrived today so thought I'd post them up. Not as strong as aluminium but are good at guiding undercarriage with minimal side-play
Same here - around 1000 miles now. I went for the gold XX1 and I still can't measure any wear since new. Well happy with that, especially given I am almost exclusively running in eMTB mode now. And the only maintenance I do is chuck a bit of Squirt lube on every few rides. I have to add though...
Yeah some alloys just don't come up mirror finish no matter how much time you spend on them. I had a nitrous bottle once which wouldn't get past the level you have despite hours of trying.
They will intervene, providing the accuracy is decent. And of course assuming they have someone free but that might be unusual given that most forces have had their numbers decimated.
If the accuracy is say 2 or 3 houses they won't have justification to smash in 2 or 3 doors. They can knock...
Bastards.
Deffo need hands cutting off. Or at least a few digits to make them think twice about doing it again.
Re the police, I kinda see where they are coming from despite you, I or anyone else getting their bike nicked not being happy about it. CCTV would be a minimum requirement to get the...
OK so we look at this totally differently and I don't think thats going to change anytime soon.
I do find it somewhat odd that you call me complacent though. Contrastingly, I would have thought that you knowingly fitting something to your bike which would or could void the warranty...
Hmm...I'm trying to see this logically. You had the lamp fitted from day 1 and it was OK for 6 months. You then had a firmware update which Spesh are suggesting could now 'detect' the lamp was fitted and immediately bricked the controller as a result.
So I can't see how Spesh 'fucked up' your...
I'm not sure how much of an 'extensive response' you expect. What more could they tell you other than what they told you? Maybe add a 'sorry' I guess but I feel that would in no way placate you anyway.
It sounds like the only response (extensive or otherwise) you would be happy with is them...
I'm with you. I wouldn't connect anything that wasn't an authorised component to my Bosch system and expect to get continued warranty support. Doesn't matter if thats a dongle, a secondary battery or indeed a lighting system.
It is what is is. As you say, the same with cars. All of which would...
Yeah I swopped out my Magura discs for thinner Hopes and you could feel the extra travel at the lever for the first couple of pulls but of course once the pistons have settled theres no difference in travel whatever disc you run. Same as if the pads had just worn down.
My boy has SLX on his Trance and they are brilliant. Like you say, so easy to set up and bleed. They just work, lovely feel too. I have MT5's with 1 finger HC levers and whilst braking power is fine, the SLX levers actually feel nicer, much smoother and better progression. One day I may swop out...
Yeah I don't know. I guess the Kenevo designers simply decided that their suspension design took more priority than the ability to play with rings. I am surprised though, unless you are designing a full-on DH bike where you know the rider is unlikely to want a bigger ring and suspension takes...
This is a bit OT, but can someone educate me on why some bikes don't accommodate bigger rings? The 38t on my Haibike still has loads of room around it. I have no idea how big it could go, but I reckon even 42t would be doable.
There must be benefits of using a frame/swingarm which restricts the...
I do get what you are saying. But my bad too, I assumed that the yoke would have a bush or bearing in the end where it connects to the shock. It appears it does, but only in the horizontal plane. So yes, I understand what you are saying now. The vertical plane is effectively extended by the yoke...
