I´m in a Cube TM 2023 and made the upgrade. Regarding the modes I have now two emtb modes visible in the APP (neither one with mention to shortcranks) . Also no Auto mode.
Well, I tought could be a nice option if we could have 2 emtb modes with diferente parameters, but no (good...
Looks like a game changer. It´s the 1st generation , I supose with room to improve. Sram, Shimano shoulf be worry :unsure:

Go for a bike with local suport . My experience on Bosch , so far, no problem on suport (via local store) and warranty . Regarding range is dificult to compare and depends on a number of factors . U can also customize both .
Some years ago yes, I wanted to be fitter and worked for it. Now I only care about fun and have a good time, so I don´t have a clue. When things gets nasty I just go for emtb or turbo mode ! ;) 👹
Can be a personal choice related with feeling, terrain, etc.
As long they are suited for the brake model/rotor type . If you are appy with what you have, you can stick with the same option.
I´m looking for knee and elbow protection . They should be confortable / suitable for long rides and pedaling . Not intended for "hard core" use (kind of trail riding) !
Maybe in the line Leatt airflex pro or the Fox Enduro Pro or D30.
Any experience/recomendations?

My first mtb bike with front susp was an BH... more than 30 years ago ... So some personal affection for this brand. A spanish historic brand with road races background and more than 100 years history.
Only regular use, avoinding to ride in deep mud in winter, and Lub . No special care . Lack off spares helped to extende the use, otherwise supose had replace it earlier.
I´m happy with my Cube 140HPC and with my wife 160HPC . Had 2 issues but regarding Bosh componentes . Itens replaced under warranty . Had a crash and no problems with stock for some Cube small parts that I neded to repalce . Local dealer (and supose bosch and Cube assistence via dealer)...
