    Which bosch motor bike ?

I’m on my 4th ebike with a bosch motor, this one is a trek rail and I really like it. Before was a whyte e150s and again liked it. But I’ve recently bought an orbea rise as well, it makes the trek feel like a monster truck. The rise pops off every feature, jumps easier and wheelies easier. It is...

Lightweight vs full power eMTB - Anyone experienced with both?

I’ve got a trek rail and an orbea rise. I prefer the rise for it’s more natural feel and lighter weight and it goes everywhere the trek does but a few mph slower when climbing. The trek is more of a monster truck and I use it when I ride with other full power e-bikes. They are both great and...

    Long Travel Slack emtb's

Tbh that’s about where I’m at, there doesn’t seem to be another bosch long travel. But it’s a bit close to my trek I think.

    Long Travel Slack emtb's

Hello all. Currently have a trek rail which I really like. Looking for a longer travel more DH bike but would like the bosch motor. Something like the Specialized kenevo or canyon torque:on. Any recommendations with bosch gen4 in them ?

How do you clean / maintain yours?

Hand wash and rinse then a cheap amazon 'dog blower' to remove water from everywhere then lube on drivetrain :)

Has your EMTB made you fitter, or kept you as fit, as your regular MTB?

Riding with clockwork bikes is pretty pointless as there’s little work out at their speeds, but that’s kind of obvious as we have a motor. On my local red route my ebike time is quicker than any normal bike at least going by strava users. I do occasionally ride with some of the quickest normal...

Has your EMTB made you fitter, or kept you as fit, as your regular MTB?

I only ride an ebike I have no desire to ride a normal bike, bought my first 5 years ago not to replace a normal bike but to replace some of my motorbike riding. I ride mostly in turbo and go as fast as I can in most places. Range fitness all irrelevant as it's all about fun and adrenalin. But...

    First emtb decision

Buy from a local dealer so you can take back if/when it has issues. I broke this rule with one of mine and it’s causing a bit of hassle getting in touch and then shipping bike back

Why do people have a problem with ebikes?

Why worry, I don’t it isn’t my job to change anyone else’s opinion or educate them. Imaybe if they had listened at school they could have one too ?

Wanted a brand new Bosch gen 4 and a 625w battery Full suspension £ 3000 plus

I’ve just bought an Orbea wild with dual battery kit for £3450 from lbs. I already have the second frame mount battery so I have 1000w of power for longer rides. the Orbea also rides superbly

Selling an as new ebike ...

I’ve just bought an Orbea and got 15% off with not much haggling, if you do think you’ll ride again put it to one side as you’ll never buy another the same as cheap as you‘ll have to let it go now

    Pedalling backwards

Oops, it’s a shame as the bikes are good to ride and the after sales is great but I’d prefer a more reliable product over being a beta tester for them. The Trek I hired even with the old Bosch motor rode just as well. I think I’m going with a new Orbea so I have the dual battery option

Tbh that was my thought on these hire bikes

    Pedalling backwards

I’ve got a 2018 Scott with the gen3 Bosch motor and when I pedal backwards there is virtually no resistance. Yesterday I hired a trek with the same motor, when pedalling backwards there is a lot of resistance, had the same Bosch mine has. Mate on same hire bike had same issue so assumed neither...

    Bikes with dual battery

looking at the Orbea wild as it has the dual battery option available and my existing bike has a PowerPack 500 battery so I could use that on the orbea to give 1125wh. Any other 2019/2020 bikes that have this capability, preferably the bosch motor, thanks

Article Specialized Levo SL is a 16.9KG Super Light emtb

So a bike with less power and less range is lighter ?, in other news the Pope is catholic. I’m sure it rides great in fact I’m positive it does but that’s because lighter bikes do despite a few years of folk telling us a heavier ebike rides the same as a lighter bike. As with anything...

so now all of a sudden everyone here finally believes lighter weight Emtb's do actually handle better?

Imagine how good they’d be if you removed the motor and battery, you’d have an awesome 12kg bike how good would that be ?

Article Specialized Levo SL is a 16.9KG Super Light emtb

So this £11k bike does it ride as good as a £3k normal bike ? I’m a big ebike fan as I have a knackered knee but if I had a choice I’d be on a normal bike any day of the week. I’m struggling with the concept of an £11k bike with lower power and less range. If you add the extender it’s no longer...

Article Specialized Levo SL is a 16.9KG Super Light emtb

I guess it’ll be lighter to push or carry when it breaks down on the trail. Hopefully they‘ve put some effort into reliability and build quality. I’d sacrifice a few kgs to have an ebike with proper waterproofing and a reliable motor. Maybe this is time will tell
