Same thoughts here. Current whip is a 200 185 bastardised Cannondale that goes pretty good but a 630 battery running heavy dh tyres restricts rides to a little over 2hrs and 1200 metres but I guess It will have to hang in there another couple of years. I want a gearbox so bad. I love my Zerode...
Only one I have seen in real life had a bit of trouble with linkage bolts getting loose so maybe just keep a sharp eye on that. I am extremely envious. Your spec is exactly how I would want mine. I currently run 200 boxxers on my Cannondale and would never go back to single crown I wouldn't imagine
Yes I agree totally with this. I just don't get why peeps feel they must ride slowly uphill. Why not just smash the uphill as quickly as you can using full assistance. That's how to get a real workout.
If you are fit and strong....or want to be....go with full fat and big travel. You can ride it anywhere. If you are a little unfit or maybe a bit on the weaker side go with the sl. They make it fun for cruising
Yes there are definately risks involved with bike packing which is why I only do it on adventure rides and ride light at bike parks when hitting jumps etc. Also don't underestimate the damage a cartwheeling ebike can do if it catches up with you. Stay safe everyone let's always try and make...
Two batteries are a great idea. I use two 625s and often swap at half time if in a bike park at if out on a big exploratory ride I carry a spare that fits snuggly in a camelback mule. Any battery larger than a 625 is generally too long to carry on your back in my experience
Same deal torn rotator. Drs suggested surgery would be only way to repair torn ligament. Decided sauna and cold therapy might work. It's been quite some months but it's coming along nicely.
My next ebike will be a Pinion, preferably a Zerode as I loved my acoustic Taniwha so much and got such an awesome maintenance free run out of it for about 4 years. Unfortunately for the past couple of years it's been sitting in the shed barely being used because ebikes are just too much fun...
I am in the keep em both camp. Levos not a bad bike and motor is great when it's not broken. Good to have a spare for all the reasons previously mentioned
Thanks for tip but if you have already done the research and trust your sources I would be happy to hear what you have to say. If punters on here are in disagreement then I am sure they will let us know.
