Hi Degsy ..welcome to the forum
May must be the month for heading further north ..eight of us from the North East ( Northumberland) heading for Torridon on the 10th for four nights ( my 4th visit to the area going back to 2012 ) ..such an iconic place to ride as are the Cairngorms ..love...
Hello Colin ..welcome ..
Good to hear you are enjoying your new bike ..there are a few of North Eastern riders who have met through this forum and ride together quite regularly ..so if that's your thing keep an eye on the Rideout section ..
Cheers
Neil
Missed this completely when you first posted ..Howdo Ant ..which seems a little strange to be saying as we've known each other for years and have a solid riding history on mtb's ..and a new chapter started 3 rides in on your new Whyte
Welcome 😁
Beth ..I don't want to be too judgemental here and for all I know you might be very fit and take to this like a duck to water ..but most of us have come from a normal mtb background with over 20 years riding experience over challenging terrain ( rocks , roots & very mountainous / big hills etc.)...
Hello Beth ..welcome
Just wondering as you have said you are new to emtb if you are coming from an mtb background and what sort of trails you ride ?
As Tony has mentioned there are regular group rides organised with riders coming from as far afield as N.Yorks , Glasgow, Hartlepool and there...
I'm probably going to push the button on this saddle as I've bent the rails on my SDG Bel Air ..(not I hasten to add through any significant weight gain ..but rather an arguement with a tree which it won..the tree that is ..) ..this has been my preferred perch since 2006 ..( I've had three...)...
Welcome ..
The answer to every question you might have is the Whyte e160rs ..
Thank me later ..😁
Seriously though when you get sorted we have a good number of folks in Northern England from an MTB background who meet up fairly regularly..although all talk of road bikes is shut down before it...
