I have a dead motor (E10). I split it and cleaned it up but then the E10 ... All internals looked good and I have a new set of bearings for it. Make me an offer. It is in Scotland. I think I paid £50 for the bearings alone.
If you DO NOT get oil for the first few rides then the shock has not been assembled properly. I open mine up , clean and add oil every few weeks to keep it running super smooth. It also flushes dirt away from the seal increasing seal life.
Just watched the Video and he seems to conclude the same as for most of the latest Whyte bikes. Great when ridden really hard. That is my experience of them ( my local dealer has them so I have ridden a few. Can be a bit dead and barge like at lower speeds.
That said it should absolutely be on...
I always start at 20/20 psi on a new bike. On my Decoy I am now running 18 front but stuck with 20 rear as any lower I get rim hits (loud clang) and have dented the rim at 18psi.
I run tubeless.
i did the exact same thing in August last year. The decoy is better than the Kenevo although a mate got a Kenevo and put 2.5 tyres on it which transformed it. He is on his third motor in 9 months though ;)
I have a Pro.
It is a bit sluggish compared to my Pro Race Jeffsy 27 but not by as much as I thought. I am now running it in the "High" setting which gives a bit more pedal clearance and brings the head angle a bit steeper. This seems to help turning quite a bit.
I will drop to a 2.6 rear when...
With an Ebike riding the Black at Glentress is like riding the Red. It was graded black because of the length and climbs originally I think.
Alpine are good , I have a couple of mates who work there , I only live 4 miles away. :)
