Thanks - confirmed my suspicions. So smitten with the Rise - likely just trying to convince myself it will work for me but reality is that I should stick with the full-fat bike
Seriously contemplating making the switch to a Rise from my carbon Levo which has been built up a bit with Fox 38, Float X2, big Magura MT7s, etc. Love how light the Rise is. Felt like way more than a 10 lb difference when I picked one up at the shop today - just concerned about real world...
Curious for others' thoughts. Started getting the itch to trade up my 2019 Levo Carbon Expert. I've already upgraded the brakes (Magura MT7 / 220s) and suspension (Fox Factory 38 and Float X2). Would love to get something a little lighter - but not sure of making the SL / Orbea Rise move given...
I just set and tested mine in the high position on my 2019 Levo Expert with a 160mm Fox 38 and 55mm Float X2 yesterday. Loved not having as many inside pedal strikes on off-camber single-track climbs. Felt more nimble in the tight turns / switch backs. Climbing seemed a tad easier - the flip...
Thats a slick solution! ^^
Great setup by the way - I have the same Levo Expert (same colors) with the Maguras and the Fox 38. Only difference is that I also swapped out the rear shock
I have just noticed something similar happening to mine. Not completely sure that the power is fully cutting out but I have started to get an error message on my display (hard to tell exactly if it was error 2,3,or 4 - should have taken a picture). Seems like its an issue recognizing the motor...
Well I finally opened up my box from Shapeways. Having read the full body of this thread I also just realized that the stock rotor is required. Well that sucks given my 220mm Magura setup. Anyone have a more universal solution?
I bumped up to the 160 Fox 38. Love the shock. Do feel like I need to be a little bit more deliberate with weighting up the front end on steep climbs given the slight increase in front end height.
E.Bay here as well!
Did the upgrade myself a couple of weeks ago. 220 front and rear. But the rockshox double barb connector. Worked awesome. Cut the rear hydraulic line at the caliper, connect to the new line and pull it thru from the top. Know that once it’s all together you need to follow the bedding procedure...
That’s exactly where I run into it... shuttling over tarmac to get to the trails. Would derestrict in a heartbeat but for warranty issues when that motor blows
Just wanted to make sure I’m not losing my mind. When pedaling at (what I imagine is) the max speed supported by the motor - 2019 model - it feels like the motor actually starts working against you if you try to push thru the limiter. Is that normal? Is it just the motor turning off that I feel...
