2021 super deluxe thrushaft travel spacer.

Thanks for the confirmation.. seems like I might be out of options for steepening the HTA then - other than expensive ones like replacing the fork or shock. From what I understand an offset bushing will only slacken and can't be reversed. An angleset doesn't work with the knock block either I...

2021 super deluxe thrushaft travel spacer.

If the blue spacer is removed then sag is set up to the same % of the new travel amount, will the bike geo become slacker? I'm running a mullet with mino link high and tried a 170mm air shaft in the fork but found it too slack with the fork at 20% sag.. and too soft with the fork at 25% sag...

Trek Rail - small frame - how tall are you? :)

I'm 5'7 and on a medium 2022 - it is slightly smaller than my previous bike and fits well - wouldn't want it any smaller. I can highly recommend going mullet for shorter riders at least, much easier to turn and to lift the front up for bunny hops and manuals.

    Rail (750Wh) Crank Arms

Has anyone tried the FSA CK 220 155mm crank? They are a third of the price of hope!

Rail (625Wh) Trek Rail mullet BB height?

Glad to hear its working for you :) That BB height of 344 was already in the high position which is not exactly high compare to other manufacturers. The 2022 Levo has 344mm BB with the flipchip in low position though I guess that is already a mullet so perhaps not comparing like for like. This...

Rail (625Wh) Trek Rail mullet BB height?

I'm keen to mullet my 2022 Rail 9 alloy but am concerned about the low BB height that might result. I suffered several pedal strike related crashes on my old Vitus e-sommet. The geo chart states BB height of 344mm in high position. Swapping to a 27.5 rear wheel will drop the BB around 13mm...

Recommendations - bikes with short(ish) chainstays?

Looking to make a shortlist of full fat ebikes with the following: - 160mm to 180mm travel, - not stupidly heavy (24kg tops) - chainstays not too long as I will be on a small or medium sized frame so around 445mm max - happy with a 500W battery, anything bigger is a bonus What bikes should I...

STUnlocker Android App for Shimano motors is available

Hi, I have the e8000 and need to warranty, I have set the region back to EU from US in STunlocker using FW 4.0.2 then updated to latest FW. From reading this thread it seems possible that this region change could still be logged and visible when I take it to the shop? Would it be sensible to...

Unable to connect E-Tube app or STunlocker app

For the record, I finally connected using pin 123456, kind of odd as the default pins are afaik 4 digit and 1234 or 0000

Unable to connect E-Tube app or STunlocker app

Can anyone help, for some reason I can no longer connect either app with bluetooth. They both ask me to enter PIN (which I never set afaik). I have had the PIN reset to default by a shimano service center but I still get "Bluetooth connection interrupted" on etube or "Wrong PIN..." on...

    E-Sommet 2020 DPX2 volume spacers

I've not used the last couple of cm of fork travel in my first few rides with them set at 20% sag.. though they do feel very plush. I may try removing a spacer to see how it feels. The rear end just feels way more damped and less active than on my 160mm trail bike. On my trail bike I use no...

    E-Sommet 2020 DPX2 volume spacers

Has anyone decided to change these from stock on theirs? I'm finding the setup a bit too progressive and over damped (I'm 70kg) so wanted to experiment with swapping out the volume spacer. According to Vitus, the shock is the 205x65 Trunion with 0.6 spacer pre-installed. I was surprised to...

DT Swiss OE tape is very good - you'll never get your own tape on as well as the factory stuff!

    All you Tubeless guys!!

The DH casing tyres that come on the sommet are ridiculously easy to set up tubeless - a 10 minute job at the most. They are already taped so just get one bead off the rim, pull the tube out, screw the supplied valves in, splash of sealant then pump it up. The tyres are so easy to seat that...

My spanking new Vitus E Sommet VRS 2020

Another one here - mine arrived the other day with the box completely ripped open. Also It took almost 3 weeks and still showed as 'processing' in my account. There was no dispatch notification so it was lucky I was around when it arrived.

E-Sommet seat tube maximum insertion in size M

I think the 2020 e-sommet is reamed deeper. I've just received a size M and the supplied 125mm dropper will go almost all the way in minus about 15mm. According to the diagram for the BrandX dropper this means about 200mm insertion. At this point the actuator is very close to hitting the shock...
