Apparently you need 16mm thickness or bigger to not be vulnerable to hand cutting with the big high quality bolt croppers. Lower quality and or smaller croppers will struggle with slightly thinner chains.

How are you guys finding your Cairn bikes? They have recently joined the UK cycle scheme so I'm considering getting one for my commute and some country lane and forest road use in my spare time.
